Defense Mechanism - More About Projection


I listed positive examples in my earlier post about projection, now let's look into negative projections. 

Once I booked a taxi, the driver kept complaining with abusive languages all the way during the trip, like: "Idiot!" "People don't know how to drive." "People don't know how to cross the road." "Look at him, he's angry." Instantly I got to know that he must be an angry person himself, and I didn't feel good with this person from the beginning.

As explained in my last post, people project the way they are onto others. Just like this person did, it was a typical example of "an angry person accusing other people of being angry", which was a reflection of his own negative personality trait.
